What used to fit
doesn't anymore.

I'm Amira Davis. I write and speak about the choices women face when familiar roles and expectations stop fitting.

Through essays, conversations on video, and The Recalibration Shift™, I explore what it means to make room for who you are now.

Before you say yes,
does it still fit?

A question worth asking before the next yes.

The Recalibration Shift™

The Recalibration Shift™ is a five-step framework for noticing what has changed and making choices that fit your life now.

Start with the yes you keep giving. Pause long enough to ask what it requires of you, and whether your answer is still accurate.

Meet Amira

Amira Davis is an entrepreneur, leader, educator and speaker.

Her work brings together twenty-five years of corporate leadership and the harder education of rebuilding a life in the middle of one. Boundaries, emotional intelligence, identity, and the decisions women face when what used to work stops working.

She is not interested in telling women to do less. She is interested in what still fits.

SIGNATURE KEYNOTE

The Cost of the Automatic Yes

Capable people get handed more. It is meant as a compliment and it works like a tax.

This keynote is about the cost of the automatic yes, and what it does to leadership, to teams, and to the person carrying it. A boundary is not a refusal. It is a statement about what you can actually deliver, and it is a leadership skill long before it is a personal one.

In their words

From women who have sat in the room with her.

In practicing some strategies that Amira gave me, and with weekly check-ins, in 10 months I went from being overworked and underpaid to setting healthy boundaries at work, requesting my worth without fear, negotiating with confidence, and landing a role as an Executive Director.

Jackie

I am no longer a passive participant in my own life. I am the conscious guardian of my energy. I now know my worth, and I am deliberate about who I allow to interact with me, and how.
